Nice job, on the stumper, Bruce. I thought that was one of the toughest ones in a while.
Neville, Seiji Ozawa used to be pretty common in puzzles, but I wouldn't think he's all that well known any more. That clue was pretty tough, I only knew the Tanglewood connection from having gone to school in Boston. I guess you'd have to be a film buff to know Pedro Almodovar. So, yeah, that was a difficult crossing.
Thanks, Al. Tanglewood meant nothing to me, but after checking ye olde clue database, I think I may have seen this name before (in puzzles mind you). One wrong square - I've done worse! You're right, Dan - it is Saturday :)

Had a wrong letter at ALMODOVaR/OZaWA. Am I the only one who thought this crossing was unfair?

Thanks Al! I was pleased with how this one came out.
Neville, not unfair in the slightest - both men are mega-famous in their fields, and it's Saturday.
I got stuck all over the place in the NYT. Newsday too, but that was legitimately challenging - congrats, Bruce!
More than half my time on the NYT on the SW corner. Some toughies today!

Big ups to Bruce for the tricky Stumper!
Thanks guys. Glad it put up a little fight for you.
