My LAT error was at the 37A/11D crossing. I was reading the clues as fast as I could, and did not properly read the clue numbers: I thought the clue for 39A was actually for 37A, so i wrote in an A instead of an E. My reach exceeded my grasp on this one, though I suppose I'm grateful it's only happened once so far.
I never check over my paper puzzles unless there was a questionable word or section. Surely I've miswritten a few letters over the years - but those mistakes aren't reflected in my statistics!
