NYT 2:12 ... LAT 1:52 ... CS 1:41 ... ND 1:40 ... BT 2:38 ... TO 2:15

Wow, two major misspellings in two days. At least BEQ's didn't appear in any newspapers. I am available for proofreading and test-solving! ("Guaranteed Fastest in America!")

As you've now seen, Ben sent out a corrected puzzle... I can explain if you don't still have the first version.

Caught the BEQ, but didn't catch the BT one, as I solved it late. I probably had the corrected version, though I'm curious what the issue was.

oh. i don't actually get those emails; i rely on the butler to provide all of my .puz files. on the other hand, the google group says that the error was in the tausig, which i haven't done yet, but there's also a typo in the onion! 31d should say {See 63-across}, not {See 61-across}.

SPOILER ALERT...

22-A in the original Inkwell grid spelled the city "TUSCON".

I didn't notice the Onion problem... not sure I saw either of the cross-referenced clues!

Yep, mine was corrected, as I didn't have it 'buttled' early. Solved it a couple days later via download link. Thanks!

I was curious because I sometimes find myself 'test editing' puzzles as I solve on paper; there's the occasional singular/plural discrepancy, and it's especially fun to find that occasional misspelling or print answer/clue that doesn't quite match, maybe due to a pre-production grid change.
They're rare, like stumbling across a DVD easter egg. I do enjoy the test-solver lab rat thing, not sure why. Not very useful once the puzzles have been run, though.
