Last month, the Java applet wasn't working properly - I clicked around but couldn't enter letters. I waited several weeks until it got fixed rather than print out the acrostic.
I accidentally saw the answer to 1-across on the L.A. Times, hence the asterisk. I should've filled that in sooner than I did. It's like I wouldn't admit it to myself at first.

yeah, i'm not going to do an acrostic on paper either. somebody let us know when it's working.
