On the Stumper, I had mostly blank squares in the center-to-southeast quadrant until some time after the 1:08:00. (About 65-70% filled in, total.) Then I googled for the "Two Years Before the Mast" author and **BOOM** RAMADA, HOTLINE, INSTEAD, BENGURION... right up to finishing at the HOBO/HALFHOPE crossing pretty quickly. Phew! that was a toughie for a long, long while.
