i didn't realize i could take the test on a different night. since i missed it today and yesterday, maybe i'll try tomorrow.
it seems like it doesn't really matter how well you do on the test, beyond a certain minimum. there are random selection processes in place, then an in-person audition. so.
Had 2 pop-culture questions and blanked them both. Wikipedia checking confirmed that I am further out of touch with that sphere then I realized, and had no chance at the answers. So with that and my geography blindness, no Jeopardy again for me this year :).
I did the in-person audition in June, in the same room that Ken Jennings auditioned in (they mentioned that a few times). Most of the people were there for the third of fourth time. My anecdotes were pretty weak (especially compared to the guy who was a fighter pilot), so I need to work on that if I go back again.

so how did jeopardy go?
Pretty well, I guess. See Facebook...
How about for those of us not on Facebook?

yeah, it seems the approximate cutoff is 35/50, and I got 41, so there's step one.
joon, you definitely have to take the test, and when you get a taping date we'll give you a pop culture boot camp. :)
Did I just hear you volunteering to give a pop-culture boot camp, Dan? Can I sign up??? Before ACPT???? :-)
Good luck on moving to the next step!

Best of luck to everyone currently trying out!
